Paris, 11 October 2016 – Shondaland’s latest hit series “The Catch” will have a World Premiere TV Screening at MIPCOM of the new season’s first episode on Tuesday 18 October at 6.30pm in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Immediately following the screening there will be a brief Q&A with series star Mireille Enos, and executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.
From ABC Studios and the producers of “Greys Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder,” “The Catch” is a sexy, scintillating game of cat-and-mouse between LA’s top private investigator and the man she loves, the world’s most formidable con artist. Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause) has turned himself in to the FBI to save Alice Vaughan (Enos) from wrongful imprisonment. Now in jail, Ben is forced to reckon with his criminal past, while Alice’s investigation firm must come to terms with getting in bed with the bad guys. How will Alice and Ben work things out to stay together and overcome their less-than-legal past?
“The Catch” also stars Sonya Walger, John Simm, Jay Hayden, Rose Rollins, and Elvy Yost. Rhimes, Beers, Allan Heinberg and Julie Anne Robinson serve as executive producers. “The Catch” is distributed by Disney Media Distribution.
The screening marks one of the events showcasing Shondaland at MIPCOM. In addition to receiving the Personality of the Year award, Shonda Rhimes will participate in a Q&A on Wednesday 19 October at 3:30pm in the Grand Auditorium. Multi-award-winning producer and Shondaland partner, Betsy Beers will also be speaking during the MIPCOM Women in Global Entertainment Summit on Monday 17 October at 12:30pm. An exclusive press conference with Shondaland Production’s talent including Rhimes, Beers, Enos and Tony Goldwyn (star of “Scandal,”) is scheduled at 10.30am on Tuesday 18 October in MIPCOM’s Press and News Hub.
